Polyester

Casting Type

ERCO casting type resins have proven themselves to the user and can now become a brand in Turkey.

It is the transparent transparency and quality of the ERCO ERCO casting type plastics of the installation for general industrial use and with superior properties.

Fiber Type

Fiber type shelves can be used by hand where the glass is located. Regarding the superior quality product features, it can be produced as much as the products related to the technical features produced from the ERCO business materials departments and continues in these features. Ease of use with optimum maximum travel time.

Flame Retardant

Jams made of non-flame retardant polyester products are sweets used against any fire that may occur at the application site, in order not to enlarge the fire. The usage areas are very wide, all kinds of flame retardant properties of composite can be used.

There are supplements and aids in this section without halogen reductions in any fire from halogens and services. This fill ratio was determined by the best flame propagation - material source; This additive is included in the supplementary material.

Flame retardant polyester jams are mostly used in rail systems, sea vehicles, trolleys, containers and non-electric ones.

Chemical Resistant

Chemical resistant (Isophthalic based) polyester resins are more resistant to various chemicals than other orthophthalic based resins. The high performance isophthalic/NPG series provides the highest level of chemical resistance. It is also known that these products can be used at high temperatures without deformation.

Isophthalic or isophthalic/NPG-based products are resistant to chemicals that cause deterioration at high temperatures, although orthophthalic-based products can withstand room temperatures.

The main users are the marine industry, warehouse and tank manufacturers, and chemical conditioners. It is also preferred in the construction sector.

Button Type

Button type polyester resins are clear and light in color, generally of moderate reactivity. Flexibility and workability values have been developed for the textile industry. They maintain these properties when used with pigment pastes. This resin group, which has a smooth curing curve and easy workability, is divided into two subgroups as centrifugal and rod casting.

The centrifuge group is the resin group that continues to cure in the form of washers.

On the other hand, the rod casting group is the group that is poured into rod-shaped molds and continues to be cured there, and then cut into a button shape.

The ERCO brand offers universal solutions for both groups.

Pultrusion Type

Pultrusion type unsaturated polyester resins are generally products with high reactivity and low viscosity. Pultrusion products are formed by pulling the roving glass fiber through the resin pool and curing with heat. This group, which has very high glass fiber wetting values, is mostly preferred by GRP type plate manufacturers in Turkey.

In this group, which has high mechanical and thermal values, there are also more performance resins for higher quality products.

SMC/BMC Type

SMC/BMC type resins are unsaturated polyester resins specially designed for high temperature molding. Thanks to the high amount of unsaturated groups they contain, they have high reactivity and therefore high exotherm temperature. They are molded thanks to their thickening feature over time.

ERCO, which has managed to become the most preferred brand in the SMC/BMC industry, offers solutions to its users with its high and continuous quality and wide product range.

SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) - It is a thin and sheet-shaped composition. BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) - It is a thick and cluster-shaped composition.

SMC/BMC molding method is used in many places from automotive to electrical boxes, from street lighting to heavy machinery parts. With resins compatible with thermoplastic resin additives - LSA and LPA - it is possible to reduce or even reduce the total volumetric shrinkage to zero.

Mold Making

Mold making resins are products specially designed for use in the composite industry. It differs from general purpose products with its fiber wetting, volumetric shrinkage and thixotropic properties.

They have excellent fiber wetting. Despite its thixotropic feature, it is so transparent that you can see the product in the mold.

Once properly cured, it has a higher strength than other general purpose products, so your molds will retain their former performance for a very long time. Mechanical and thermal deformations that can be caused by the product produced in the mold are eliminated.

Thanks to its very low volumetric shrinkage, the molds come out in the dimensions you want and keep this shape for a very long time.

The thixotropic property is to prevent resin run-off at steep places in mold making.

RTM

RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) is the name given to the system of transferring and curing unsaturated polyester resin in a closed mold containing glass fiber. Thanks to its special formulation, the resins used with this method have a low viscosity when they are in resin form, but they come to the fore with their physical strength after hardening. They are generally used with the help of vacuum. This method is called VARTM (Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding). The vacuum ensures a balanced and rapid spread of the resin advancing in the mold.

Closed mold systems are more preferred than old systems in terms of both practicality and health. More and more users are switching to the RTM method, which is an alternative to hand depositing. Personal errors in hand layup and high styrene emissions are the main reasons for this transition.

Please select a resin. Since users have their own production lines, we design special resins for users in RTM applications.

Flexible Polyester

Flexible polyester resins have flexibility like soft rubber after curing thanks to the special chemicals they contain. The use of these resins alone is not recommended.

A flexible resin can be used with other resins up to 50%. While adding softness to the resin it is added to, it causes regressions in its mechanical properties. It significantly increases the elongation at break. It adds machinability to the final material.

It is used where flexibility is prominent and physical strength is not important. It can be used in all sectors.
